Objective: The objective of Pistoletti is to score points by capturing valuable cards during the game’s various rounds.

Adaptation for 2 Players: Pistoletti is traditionally played with more than two players, but it can be adapted for two players by modifying some of the rules to suit the smaller player count.

Setup:

1. Use a standard 52-card deck.
2. Determine the starting dealer. This can be done by any agreed-upon method, such as flipping a coin or drawing cards.
3. Shuffle the deck thoroughly and deal 26 cards to each player, one at a time, face-down. Each player should have their own deck.

   • Aces: 4 points

Gameplay:

1. Starting the Game:
   • The player who did not deal the cards starts the first round.
   • Players take turns being the dealer for subsequent rounds.
2. Playing the Round:
   • Players take turns playing cards from their hand to a central pile.
   • The player who played the highest-ranking card wins the trick and collects all the cards played.
   • If a player cannot follow suit, they can play any card.
3. Scoring:
   • After all cards have been played, players count the points in the cards they have captured.
   • The player with the most points wins the round and scores additional points for any Pistoletti achieved.
4. Winning:
   • The game typically consists of multiple rounds, and the player with the highest total score at the end of the agreed-upon number of rounds wins.

Differentiating Turns:

• Player 1’s Turn: Player 1 starts the first round of the game.
• Player 2’s Turn: After Player 1’s turn, it becomes Player 2’s turn to lead the next round.
