Pişti (2 player card game)

Objective: The objective of the card game Pişti is to score points by capturing cards from the table.

Adaptation for 2 Players: Pişti is traditionally played with more than two players, but it can be adapted for 2 players by making some adjustments to the rules.

Setup:

• 2 of Clubs (Pişti): 2 points (awarded for capturing the 2 of Clubs)

Gameplay:

1. Starting the Game:
   • The player to the dealer’s left goes first.
   • Players take turns playing one card each from their hand onto the table.
2. Taking Turns:
   • Player 1 starts by playing a card from their hand onto the table.
   • Player 2 then plays a card, and the turn alternates between the players.
   • Cards are played face-up on the table, forming a pile.
3. Capturing Cards:
   • If a player plays a card that matches the rank of a card already on the table, they capture both cards and place them face-down in a pile next to them.
   • If a player plays a Jack and there is another Jack on the table, they capture all the cards on the table.
   • If a player plays the 2 of Clubs, they capture all the cards on the table and earn 2 points for the Pişti.
4. Continuing Play:
   • Players continue taking turns playing cards until all cards have been played from their hands.
5. Scoring:
   • After all cards have been played, players count the points earned from the cards they captured during the game.
6. Winning:
   • The game can be played over multiple rounds, and the player with the highest score at the end of the agreed-upon number of rounds wins.

Differentiating Turns:

• Player 1’s Turn: Player 1 starts the game and plays the first card. They continue to alternate turns with Player 2.
• Player 2’s Turn: After Player 1 plays their card, it becomes Player 2’s turn to play a card onto the table.
