  2. Shuffle the deck and deal 8 cards to each player.
  3. Place the remaining cards face down to form the stock pile.

Scoring:

  • Tens: 10 points
  • Kings: 4 points
  • Queens: 3 points
  • Jacks: 2 points

Gameplay:

    • Players take turns clockwise around the table.
  2. Trump Selection:
    • The dealer flips the top card of the stock pile to determine the trump suit.
    • The trump suit is the suit of the flipped card.
  3. Playing Tricks:
    • Player 1 leads the first trick by playing a card from their hand.
    • The second player follows suit if possible.
    • If unable to follow suit, the player can play any card.
    • The player who played the highest-ranking card of the led suit or the highest-ranking trump card wins the trick.
    • The winner of each trick leads the next one.
  4. Scoring:
    • At the end of the round, players count the points of the cards they’ve won in tricks.
    • The player or team with the highest total points wins the round.
    • The game typically consists of multiple rounds, and the player or team with the most points at the end wins.

Differentiating Turns:

  • Player 1’s Turn: Player 1 starts the game and leads the first trick.
  • Player 2’s Turn: After Player 1’s turn ends, it becomes Player 2’s turn to lead the next trick.
