Agram (2 player card game)

  1. Use a standard 52-card deck.
  2. Shuffle the deck thoroughly and determine the dealer randomly. The dealer deals 6 cards to each player, one at a time.

Objective: The objective of Agram is to be the first player to score a total of 7 points.

Gameplay:

  1. Player 1’s Turn:

    • Player 1 starts the game by playing any card from their hand face-up on the table.
    • Player 2 must then play a card of the same suit if they have one. If not, they may play any card.
    • The player with the higher card of the same suit wins the trick.
  2. Player 2’s Turn:

    • Player 2 starts their turn by playing any card from their hand face-up on the table.
    • Player 1 must then play a card of the same suit if they have one. If not, they may play any card.
    • The player with the higher card of the same suit wins the trick.
  3. Continuation of Turns:

    • Play alternates between players, with each player leading a trick by playing a card of their choice.
    • The player with the higher card of the same suit wins the trick and leads the next trick.
  4. Scoring:

    • After all tricks have been played, players count the number of tricks they have won.
    • If a player has won 7 or more tricks, they win the round and score 1 point.
    • If a player wins all 6 tricks, they win the round and score 2 points.
  5. Winning the Game:

    • The game continues until one player reaches a total of 7 points. That player wins the 2 player card game of Agram.
