Frustration (2 player card game)

Objective: The objective of Frustration is to be the first player to move all of your pegs around the board and into the finish line.

Adaptation for 2 Players: In the 2 player version of Frustration, the game is adapted to suit only two players. Each player controls two sets of pegs, and the gameplay remains largely the same, with adjustments made to accommodate the reduced player count.

Setup:

1. Each player chooses a color and takes all four pegs of that color.
2. Place the game board in the center of the playing area.
3. Each player places their pegs in their respective starting positions marked by the colored circles on the board.
4. Decide who goes first through a mutually agreed-upon method.

Scoring: In Frustration, scoring is not a separate component of the game. The objective is to be the first player to move all of your pegs around the board and into the finish line. There are no specific points awarded during the game.

Gameplay:

1. Turns: Players take turns rolling the dice and moving their pegs accordingly. Player 1 goes first, and then players take turns in clockwise order.
2. Rolling the Dice: Each player rolls the dice on their turn and moves one of their pegs the number of spaces shown on the dice. A player can choose to move any of their pegs unless there is a blockage caused by an opponent’s peg.
3. Moving Pegs: Pegs are moved in a clockwise direction around the board, starting from the player’s starting position.
4. Blocking and Bumping: If a player’s peg lands on a space occupied by an opponent’s peg, the opponent’s peg is sent back to its starting position, and the player’s peg remains in the occupied space.
5. Finishing: A player must roll the exact number needed to move their peg into the finish line. If they roll a number higher than needed, they cannot move and must wait for their next turn to try again.
6. Winning: The first player to move all four of their pegs into the finish line wins the game.
