Dreierschnapsen (2 player card game)

Objective: Dreierschnapsen is a trick-taking game usually played with three players. However, it can be adapted for 2 players. The objective remains the same: to score points by winning tricks and to reach a predetermined point threshold to win the game.

Setup:

1. Use a standard 32-card deck.
2. Remove all cards below 7, leaving 24 cards in total.
3. Shuffle the deck thoroughly.

Gameplay:

   • Aces are worth 11 points, tens are worth 10 points, kings are worth 4 points, and queens are worth 3 points. All other cards have no point value.
   • Additionally, the player who takes the last trick scores 10 points.

4. Winning the Game:

   • The game typically ends when one player reaches a predetermined point threshold, such as 101 points.

• In the 2-player adaptation, players play individually, with each player aiming to score points independently.
